complications in this process, I decided to take on Muay Thai as part of my training regime. Having fought professionally and with 10 years of experience, I focus my training on strength, power and endurance all key aspects for a fighter.

Being a holder of a 3rd Dan black belt in martial arts and having been trained by one of the best instructors in Thailand and Korea, I bring in a blend of result oriented training and loads of fun while at it too. Julio De Souza is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt born in Sao Paulo Brazil. He earned his black belt from Professor Ricardo Testai, BJJ head coach of Kings MMA in California USA. Julio has been practicing BJJ since 1996 and teaches classes from beginners to advanced levels.

A practice of conscious movement has been a part of my life since I was four years old. A few knee injuries inspired my physical practices to shift from fifteen years of classical Indian dance and long-distance running to yoga, and I eventually trained to become a yoga teacher in 2004. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching vinyasa yoga in NYC, Washington, DC, Mumbai, Nairobi and on retreats in the stunning Kathmandu Valley and Kenyan Coast. I’ve more recently fallen in love with barre workouts for their play with nuanced, precise movements and added it to my teaching repertoire in 2015
